The GSU Intellectual Property Law Society (IPLS) serves as a support group for GSU Law students to learn more about Intellectual Property. The IPLS also provides access to the GSU IP Mentoring Program, Job Sharing Program, and Mock Interviewing Program.

The IPLS is headed by a President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. The officers also serves as members of the GSU Law School's IP Advisory Board, which provides overall Intellectual Property strategy and guidance to the Law School. Officer elections occur in the Spring of each year.

The membership fee for the IPLS is $10/year.

Intellectual Property Scholarships
Five IP Scholarships are available to students each year. Four scholarships are in the amount of $1,000, while one "full ride" scholarship is available each year.

The Full Ride scholarship and two of the $1,000 scholarships are awarded to entering students in recognition of interest and commitment to IP, while two current students are awarded $1,000 scholarships based on interest, commitment and achievement in law school.

IP Mentoring Program

Each Fall, the Mentoring Program is kicked off with a mentor/mentee mixer, where students get to meet their attorney mentor as well as other local attorneys. In addition, attorneys commit to 2-3 one-on-one meetings throughout the school year (at least one meeting in the Fall and one in the Spring). One of these meetings may include a job shadowing day.

IP Job Shadowing Program

IP Mock Interviewing
The GSU Law School offers a mock interviewing program to all students who join the Intellectual Property Law Society (IPLS)Intellectual Property Law Society. Currently, the Law School fields a team in the Saul Lefkowitz Trademark Moot Court Competition and a team for the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) Giles Sutherland Rich Moot Court Competition.
